The vaulting program at Nation Valley Ranch is the only one of its kind in the Ottawa region, and the competitive students perform locally at many events, and have seen a lot of success at provincial schooling Shows.

After signing our daughter (age 8) up for riding lessons "just for the summer" last year, Nation Valley Ranch has quickly become one of her favourite places. Jen and her team have created an environment that fosters confidence, responsibility, and lasting friendships.
A few lessons into our summer class, we didn't even hesitate—we signed up for TWO fall classes! Since then, we've watched our daughter put her trust in the Nation Valley team time and again as they've supported her in growing and embracing a number of new skills and experiences. We are very grateful for the warm welcome and support we've received at Nation Valley Ranch this past year, and we look forward to growing with them for years to come!

My daughter's first experience with horses was as a little girl trying Cowgirl Camp at Nation Valley Ranch. Her bestie was attending and horses are cute, so it was something to try.
Fast forward: she's now a young woman who is still "horse crazy" and she's still proud to be part of the Nation Valley Ranch family. From day one, the emphasis at NVR was safety, respect, responsibility and deep love for the horses.
Jen has taught her riding technique, and also horse care and behaviour management. She is a dedicated mentor and teacher, and I love seeing new kids come along, knowing that many of them will be inspired to become lifelong horse people.

Meet the Capital Cowgirls
The Capital Cowgirls Drill Team is comprised of a group of riders 14 years of age and up. It is a separate group from the Capital Cowgirls recreational club that is held at Nation Valley Ranch.
The team is proud to have appeared throughout Ontario at such equine events as Rawhide Rodeo, Wesley Clover Park, Upper Canada Village and local fairs to name a few.
They were extremely honoured and proud to be the opening act for the 2019 RCMP musical ride Sunset Ceremonies and wowed the crowd of over 10,000 spectators each night.
The team is coached and choreographed by Jen Byvelds.
